2013 Golden State Wushu & Health Qigong Championships

General Information

Welcome! The 2013 Golden State International Wushu & Health Qigong Championships will take place on June 15, 2013, in San Jose, California.

This year we will run the following events:

1.The Golden State International Wushu Championships

This is sanctioned by the United States Wushu Kung Fu Federation (USAWKF), and hosted by the National Tai Chi Wellness Foundation (NTCWF).

2.The USAHQF Health Qigong Team Trial

This is sanctioned by the IHQF, and hosted by the USAHQF.

3. IWUF 3rd Compulsory Form coaches and athletes training courses (USAWKF)  

Courses will be led by IWUF Technical Committee officials and coaches, Date June 12,13 and 14, (more information will update)

The IHQF (formed in 2011) is the only international Health Qigong Federation and combines together more than 30 national organizations, covering North and South America, Europe, and Asia.  The IHQF is a member of the International Olympic Committee, and was awarded an “IOC Sports for All Grant” in 2012.

The USAWKF is the official US representative to the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).

The USAHQF is an official representative to the IHQF.

The USAHQF Health Qigong Team Trials will select the Health Qigong Team to represent the United States of America at the 5th
International Health Qigong Tournament and Exchange to be hosted this coming August 2013 in New York by the IHQF.

The Golden State Wushu and Health Qigong Tournaments is an official event hosted by the National Tai Chi Wellness Foundation, and USA Health Qigong Federation (USAHQF), the official US representative to the International Health Qigong Federation (IHQF).

Participant Eligibility

I.    Golden State International Wushu Championships

Athletes from all countries and regions are welcome to participate.

II.   1st Pan-American Health Qigong Tournament

Athletes and group participants must reside within the Americas

III.    USAHQF Health Qigong Team Trials

Participants must be citizens, permanent residents, or individuals of legal work status in the United States. 

IV.   Welcome Banquet and Masters’ Demonstration:

Participants interested in demonstrating at this event must be approved by the Organizing Committee prior to the event; Welcome Banquet: All participants are welcome to attend (Details to be announced).

V. IWUF 3rd Compulsory Form coaches and athletes training courses (USAWKF)
